Business Analyst

Key Responsibilities

Engage with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document functional and non-functional requirements for payment systems.Work on projects involving domestic and international payments: NEFT, RTGS, IMPS, UPI, SWIFT, SEPA, FPS, ACH, FedNow, RTP, Wires, POS payments.Analyze existing payment workflows to identify automation and efficiency opportunities.Prepare Business Requirement Documents (BRD), Functional Specifications (FSD), and User Stories.Collaborate with product, compliance, operations, and technology teams to deliver payment solutions.Conduct gap and impact analysis, ensuring system compatibility with payment schemes and messaging standards (ISO 20022, ISO 8583).Support UAT planning, execution, and facilitate sign-offs from stakeholders.Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements (RBI, FIPS, PCI DSS, PCI PIN, PSD2, AML/KYC).

Required Skills

5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in the Payments / Banking domain.Hands-on experience in USA payments domain.Strong understanding of payment instruments (cards, wallets, bank transfers, CNP transactions), protocols, and processing life cycles.Familiarity with payment switches, gateways, clearing & settlement, and core banking integrations.Knowledge of payment messaging standards: SWIFT, ISO 20022, ISO 8583.Experience working with Agile and Waterfall methodologies.Proficiency with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Visio, or similar.

Preferred Qualifications

MBA graduates from reputed institutions.Certifications such as CBAP, Agile BA, or PMP.Exposure to emerging payment technologies: UPI, tokenization, open banking APIs, QR payments, Stable Coin.Strong knowledge of compliance & risk in digital payments (AML, fraud monitoring, transaction screening).
