Job Description

Role Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Business Analyst to join our team at Jenoptik Smart Mobility Solutions, a leading global supplier of road safety solutions and latest product technology. The successful candidate will work closely with stakeholders to identify business needs and develop solutions to improve processes, increase efficiency, and drive business growth.
Objectives of this role
  • Drive awareness of requirements across business units and identify substandard systems processes through evaluation of real-time data
  • Serve as thought leader for technical business processes, developing systems prototypes that promote increased efficiency and productivity on multiple level
  • Create and implement precise management plans for every project, with attention to transparent communication at all levels
  • Perform, evaluate, and communicate thorough quality assurance at every stage of systems development
  • Determine and develop user requirements for systems in production, to ensure maximum usability
Core Responsibilities:

Business Requirements Gathering:

Collaborate with stakeholders across various departments, including Sales, Marketing, and Operations, to gather and document business requirements, using techniques such as interviews, surveys, and workshops.

Data Analysis:

Analyze data from various sources, including ERP/accounting systems, CRM systems, and other business applications, to identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform business decisions.

Process Improvement:

Identify areas for process improvement and develop solutions to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer experience, with a focus on optimizing our internal processes and systems.

Solution Design:

Design and propose solutions to meet business needs, including the development of business cases, requirements documents, and solution designs, in collaboration with our IT department and other stakeholders.

Stakeholder Management:

Communicate with stakeholders to ensure that solutions meet their needs and expectations, and that they are informed of progress and changes.

Project Management:

Assist in the management of projects, including the development of project plans, resource allocation, and progress tracking, to ensure successful implementation of solutions.

Requirements Documentation:

Develop and maintain documentation of business requirements, including use cases and functional requirements, to ensure that solutions meet business needs.

Change Management:

Develop and implement change management plans to ensure that stakeholders are prepared for and can adapt to changes resulting from solution implementations.

Continuous Improvement:

Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and implement changes to processes and procedures to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
Jenoptik Specific Responsibilities:

Optimization of Internal Processes:

Analyze and optimize internal processes, including order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, and other business processes, to improve efficiency and reduce costs.

System Integration:

Collaborate with our IT department to integrate various systems, including ERP, CRM, and other business applications, to improve data flow and reduce manual errors.

Data Analytics:

Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to provide insights into business performance, including sales, customer satisfaction, and operational metrics.

Compliance and Risk Management:

Ensure that solutions and processes comply with regulatory requirements and industry standards, and identify and mitigate risks to the business.
Essential skills and experience
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of business operations.
  • Experience with planning within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Experience working to deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work to tight timescales and manage multiple tasks
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Experience with MRP/ERP systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with data analysis and visualization tools, such as Tableau or Power BI.
