Roles & Responsibilities Branch Head (NBFC)

1. Branch Operations & Management

Overall responsibility for smooth functioning of the branch

Ensure compliance with NBFC policies, RBI guidelines, and internal SOPs

Monitor daily operations including disbursements, collections, and cash management

2. Business Development, Growth & Cross-Selling

Drive branch business targets for loans and cross-selling of financial products

Promote cross-sell products such as insurance, mutual funds, deposits, cards, etc. (as applicable)

Increase wallet share from existing customers through effective cross-sell strategies

Develop local market initiatives to grow customer base and portfolio

3. Credit & Risk Management

Ensure quality sourcing and strict adherence to credit policies

Review and approve proposals within delegated authority

Monitor portfolio quality and control NPAs

4. Team Leadership & People Management

Lead, coach, and motivate branch team to achieve business and cross-sell targets

Ensure regular training on products, processes, and compliance

Monitor individual productivity and performance

5. Collections & Recovery

Ensure timely collections and improvement in recovery efficiency

Review delinquency reports and take corrective actions

Coordinate with legal and recovery teams where required

6. Customer Service & Relationship Management

Deliver superior customer experience and service standards

Resolve customer complaints and escalations promptly

Build long-term relationships for repeat and cross-sell business

7. Compliance, Audit & Controls

Ensure 100% compliance with KYC, AML, and regulatory requirements

Ensure audit preparedness and closure of audit observations

Maintain proper documentation and records

8. MIS & Performance Reporting

Review and submit business, collection, and cross-sell MIS regularly

Track achievement vs targets and take corrective actions

9. Cost & Profitability Management

Control branch expenses and improve overall branch profitability

Maximize revenue through efficient operations and cross-selling
