Job Description

The Branch Credit Manager position at one of the Weekday's clients in Vadodara requires a dynamic and result-oriented professional with 3-6 years of experience in evaluating and managing credit for Home Loans, Mortgage Loans, and Loan Against Property (LAP). This role involves close collaboration with sales and risk teams to ensure timely and sound credit decisions, directly contributing to branch growth and profitability. Key Responsibilities: - Assess the creditworthiness of potential customers applying for Home Loans, Mortgage Loans, and Loans Against Property. - Conduct a comprehensive analysis of customer profiles, including financial documents, income statements, property documents, and credit reports. - Sanction loans within delegated authority limits and propose approvals to higher authority when necessary. - Ensure strict adherence to internal credit policies and regulatory guidelines. - Collaborate with customers, sales team, legal, and technical vendors to verify the completeness and authenticity of loan applications. - Identify potential risks and recommend appropriate mitigants to protect company interests. - Work with legal and technical teams to validate property documents, valuations, and title clearance. - Maintain a high-quality credit portfolio by taking proactive measures on irregular accounts. - Monitor the disbursement process and post-disbursement documentation for compliance. - Provide support to the collections team by identifying early warning signs of default risks. - Prepare credit appraisal memos with clear justifications for decisions to ensure transparency and accountability. - Regularly update credit MIS reports and dashboards for review by senior management. Key Skills & Competencies: - Profound understanding of Home Loan, Mortgage Loan, and LAP products. - Proficiency in financial analysis, risk assessment, and credit evaluation techniques. - Sound knowledge of lending norms, credit policies, and RBI regulations. - Hands-on experience in property-related legal and technical due diligence. - High attention to detail, accountability, and integrity. - Proficiency in credit appraisal tools, MS Excel, and loan management systems. - Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage effectively with customers and internal stakeholders. - Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple cases simultaneously within tight timelines. Qualifications: - Graduate/Postgraduate in Finance, Commerce, or related field. - MBA (Finance) or CA Inter certification would be an added advantage. Preferred Experience: - Prior experience in NBFCs/Banks/Housing Finance Companies in a similar credit role. - Experience in dealing with Tier 1 and Tier 2 cities is considered beneficial.,
