Branch Credit Manager

• Credit Evaluation and Analysis:

• Evaluating and analyzing the creditworthiness of new and existing potential customers seeking working capital loans.
• Scrutinizing financial statements, credit reports, and payment histories.
• Conducting thorough risk analyses to assess the degree of risk involved in lending.
• Conducting personal discussions (PD) and physical visits to the customer's business place, unit, and residence as part of the appraisal process.

• Decision Making and Policy Adherence:

• Making informed decisions regarding loan approvals or rejections based on the assessment data and the bank's established credit policy and guidelines.
• Ensuring all lending procedures and documentation comply with internal policies and regulatory guidelines.

• Client and Portfolio Management:

• Managing client relationships, including negotiating and discussing loan terms and interest rates with new clients.
• Monitoring the portfolio of active working capital loans to ensure timely repayment and overall asset quality.
• Handling and monitoring loan payments and bad debts, collaborating with collections teams when necessary for recovery.

• Operational and Strategic Support:

• Working closely with the business/sales team to source business loan files and maintain a quality portfolio.
• Staying updated on changes in laws and regulations in the banking sector and reviewing/updating the bank's credit policy as needed.
• Utilizing analytical skills and potentially building credit scoring models for risk assessments.
