Position Overview

The Body Shop Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the body shop, ensuring high-quality repair and service standards, efficient workflow, and excellent customer satisfaction. The role involves managing manpower, coordinating with insurance companies, controlling costs, and meeting business targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operations Management
  • Plan, organize, and supervise the body shop operations to achieve productivity, quality, and profitability targets.
  • Ensure proper allocation of jobs, monitoring repair timelines, and maintaining workflow efficiency.
  • Monitor and maintain quality standards for all body and paint repair jobs.
  • Customer Service
  • Handle customer queries, complaints, and escalations effectively.
  • Ensure timely delivery of repaired vehicles with the highest quality standards.
  • Coordinate with insurance surveyors and customers for claim settlements.
  • Team Management
  • Lead, train, and motivate the team of service advisors, technicians, painters, and other staff.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide skill development opportunities.
  • Maintain discipline, safety, and housekeeping standards in the workshop.
  • Financial & Business Targets
  • Achieve revenue, profitability, and productivity targets of the body shop.
  • Monitor cost control measures, manage spare parts and consumables effectively.
  • Ensure proper billing, job card management, and adherence to company policies.
  • Compliance & Reporting
  • Ensure adherence to manufacturer guidelines, company policies, and statutory regulations.
  • Prepare and present MIS reports on performance, productivity, and revenue.
  • Maintain proper documentation of all repair works and customer records.

Key Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of automobile body and paint repair processes.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Customer-centric approach with good communication skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and handle pressure.
  • Proficiency in using DMS / workshop management software.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Diploma / Degree in Automobile / Mechanical Engineering (preferred).
  • 5–8 years of experience in a body shop, with at least 2–3 years in a supervisory/managerial role.
  • Experience in handling insurance claims and customer service is an advantage.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
