Job Description

As a biomedical engineer, your primary role will involve ensuring the safe and efficient operation of medical equipment. This includes tasks such as installation, maintenance, and calibration. You will also provide technical support and training for healthcare staff, and may even participate in the development and evaluation of new medical technologies. Key Responsibilities: - Equipment Management: Installing, calibrating, maintaining, and repairing biomedical equipment. - Safety and Compliance: Ensuring equipment adheres to safety standards and regulations. - Technical Support: Providing technical assistance to healthcare staff regarding equipment operation. - Training: Educating healthcare professionals on the proper use and care of medical devices. - Research and Development: Contributing to the development and testing of new medical technologies. - Collaboration: Working with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to improve patient care. - Documentation: Maintaining accurate records of equipment maintenance, repairs, and service contracts. - Problem Solving: Troubleshooting and resolving issues with medical equipment. - Inventory Management: Managing the inventory of biomedical equipment and supplies. - Safety and Efficacy: Evaluating the safety, effectiveness, and efficiency of medical equipment. - Research: Conducting research to improve medical devices and technologies. - Design and Development: Participating in the design and development of new medical devices and technologies. - Quality Assurance: Ensuring the quality and reliability of medical equipment. - Preventive Maintenance: Implementing preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime. - Data Analysis: Analyzing data to identify trends and improve equipment performance. - Communication: Communicating effectively with healthcare staff, vendors, and other stakeholders.
