Job Title: Biochemist

Location: Al Azhar Medical College & Super Specialty Hospital, Thodupuzha, Idukki

Qualifications:

• M.Sc in Biochemistry (Medical Biochemistry preferred)

Experience:

• 1–3 years of experience in a hospital or diagnostic laboratory
• Fresh postgraduates with strong practical exposure may also apply

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform and supervise biochemical investigations for clinical diagnosis
• Ensure accuracy, reliability, and timely reporting of laboratory results
• Maintain quality control and quality assurance as per NABL/NABH standards
• Handle and maintain laboratory equipment and analyzers
• Validate test results and assist clinicians with interpretation when required
• Ensure proper documentation, records, and SOP compliance
• Follow laboratory safety, infection control, and biomedical waste protocols
• Participate in audits, inspections, and continuous quality improvement activities
• Support teaching and training activities (for medical college setup)

Skills

• Strong analytical and technical skills
• Knowledge of automated analyzers and laboratory information systems (LIS)
• Attention to detail and problem-solving ability
• Good communication and teamwork skills

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
