*Billing Executive* – Government Department (Civil / Contracts)

*Location:* Chennai

*Department:* Billing & Contracts – Government Projects

*Experience Required:* 3–5 Years (Billing / Tendering / Contracts in Govt. Projects)

*Job Responsibilities:*

->Preparation, verification, and submission of RA Bills, Final Bills, and Contractor Bills for government civil works/projects.

->Maintain records of measurements (MBs), BOQs, and rate analysis in line with government norms.

->Coordinate with site engineers, contractors, and government officials for smooth bill processing.

->Ensure all billing documents comply with departmental and tender conditions.

->Reconciliation of materials, quantities, and payments as per contract terms.

->Prepare supporting documents for audits and respond to queries from government authorities.

->Assist in tender-related billing documents and maintain systematic filing of invoices.

->Monitor payment status, deductions (TDS, GST, Retention, etc.) and ensure timely follow-ups.

->Prepare MIS reports on billing status, outstanding payments, and project-wise expenses.

*Key Skills Required:*

->Strong knowledge of Government billing procedures.

->Hands-on experience in BOQ preparation, RA billing, and final bill settlement.

->Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and ERP software (if any).

->Understanding of taxation, GST, TDS, and compliance norms.

->Good coordination and communication skills with government officials.

->Attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to meet strict timelines.

*Qualification:* Diploma / B.Tech in Civil Engineering or Commerce Graduate (with billing experience in Govt. Dept. projects).

*Salary Range:* ₹20,000 – ₹40,000 per month (Depending on experience).
