Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Billing Engineer to manage and oversee billing operations for our construction projects. The Billing Engineer will be responsible for preparing, verifying, and submitting bills related to the execution of civil and MEP works in accordance with contract terms and project progress. This role requires strong coordination with the site, planning, quantity surveying, and finance teams. Key Responsibilities: Prepare client and subcontractor bills (RA bills, interim and final bills) based on BOQ , DPR (Daily Progress Report) , and actual site measurements. Prepare bar bending schedules (BBS) and verify MB (Measurement Book) entries. Cross-check quantities executed with drawings and site measurements. Coordinate with site engineers , quantity surveyors , and project managers for verification of executed work. Maintain and update billing logs , payment status , and certification records . Interact with clients and consultants for bill submissions, clarifications, and approvals. Reconcile quantities with subcontractors and ensure accurate payment processing. Assist in cost control by monitoring project budgets versus billing. Ensure compliance with statutory taxation (GST, TDS, etc.) and internal financial policies. Support internal and external audits by providing all relevant billing documentation. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent. 2–6 years of experience in billing and quantity surveying in construction projects. Sound knowledge of BOQ, BBS, estimation, measurement , and contract billing procedures . Proficiency in MS Excel , AutoCAD , and construction ERP software (e.g., SAP, Tally, or other relevant systems). Familiarity with civil construction terminology and government billing norms (if applicable). Strong numerical, analytical, and communication skills. Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple billing tasks efficiently. Preferred Skills: Experience with large-scale infrastructure, residential, or commercial projects. Knowledge of contract management and cost control systems. Capability to work under pressure and meet tight billing deadlines.
