Billing Engineer

As a Quantity Surveyor at rsQr Architects, you will play a crucial role in managing all interior and office fit-out project costs, ensuring the financial success of our ventures. You will collaborate closely with architects, engineers, contractors, and other professionals to control project costs and ensure projects are completed within budget. Your expertise in cost management, contract negotiation, and procurement will be essential for the profitability and sustainability of our construction projects. Your responsibilities will include: - Understanding client requirements and performing quantities take-off based on marking and RCP drawings. - Preparing BOQ by studying specification sheets and identifying gaps between BOQ and contract conditions for closure. - Monitoring costs throughout the project, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and preparing quotes and contracts. - Coordinating with the design team, managing valuations, claims, and variations, and optimising project outcomes through stakeholder collaboration. To excel in this role, you will need: - A Bachelor's degree in quantity surveying, construction management, or a related field. - 2+ years of experience in quantity surveying or cost consulting, preferably in the office fit-out industry. - Proficiency in cost estimation, contract administration, and cost management techniques. - Experience with AutoCAD, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and exceptional negotiation abilities. - Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize effectively, and proficiency in relevant software tools for quantity surveying.
