Job Description

Role Summary

The Billing Engineer will work from the head office and will be responsible for preparing, checking, and managing all project-related bills, quantities, and financial documentation. The role involves close coordination with site teams and clients to ensure accurate billing, timely submissions, and proper reconciliation as per company standards.

Key Responsibilities1. Billing & Invoicing

  • Prepare and verify RA Bills, Client Bills, Subcontractor Bills, and final bills.
  • Check site measurements, verify quantities, and prepare abstracts, supporting measurement sheets, and backup documentation.
  • Ensure timely submission of bills to clients and follow up for certification.

2. Quantity Takeoff & Analysis

  • Carry out quantity takeoffs from drawings (civil, structural, finishing, and utilities).
  • Review contractor-submitted quantities and cross-check with site records/drawings.
  • Prepare material consumption statements, theoretical vs. actual reconciliation, and cost analysis.

3. Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain all billing files, agreements, variation statements, and correspondence in an organized manner.
  • Prepare MIS reports on billing status, pending approvals, cash flow projections, and reconciliation statements.
  • Support the contracts team for rate analysis, BOQ review, and tender comparisons.

4. Coordination

  • Coordinate with site engineers, planning, purchase, accounts, and management for updated progress and billing data.
  • Interact with clients/consultants for bill verification, clarifications, and approval follow-ups.

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of construction billing, measurement methods, IS codes, and civil engineering practices.
  • Excellent proficiency in MS Excel, measurement sheets, and billing formats.
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD (basic) and billing-related software.
  • Good analytical ability and accuracy in quantity calculations.
  • Strong communication skills for coordination with site and clients.
  • Ability to maintain professional documentation and meet deadlines

Qualifications

  • Diploma / B.Tech in Civil Engineering.
  • 5–10 years of experience in construction billing (office-based role preferred).
  • Experience in building, industrial, or water infrastructure projects is an added advantage.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
