Bidding Engineer

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced

Bidding Engineer (Road Projects)

to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and submitting competitive bids for road and highway projects, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery. The role involves close coordination with internal teams, vendors, and clients to ensure successful tender participation.

Key Responsibilities

Study and analyze NITs, tender documents, drawings, and specifications.
Prepare detailed BOQs (Bill of Quantities) and cost estimates for road construction works.
Coordinate with QS (Quantity Surveying) and Planning teams for accurate project costing.
Collect vendor and subcontractor quotations, rates, and technical inputs.
Prepare both technical and commercial bid documents as per client requirements.
Ensure timely submission of tenders in line with compliance guidelines.
Attend pre-bid meetings, client discussions, and site visits as required.
Maintain proper tender tracking, documentation, and records.
Apply knowledge of IRC, MORTH guidelines, and SOR in bid preparation.
Work with estimation tools, AutoCAD, and MS Excel to develop cost-effective solutions.

Desired Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree/Diploma in Civil Engineering or related field.
4–7 years of relevant experience in road/highway bidding and estimation.
Strong knowledge of tendering procedures, cost estimation, and BOQ preparation.
Familiarity with IRC/MORTH specifications and standard schedule of rates (SOR).
Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and estimation software/tools.
Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
Ability to work under deadlines and handle multiple bids simultaneously.
