Job Description Oracle Global Services Center (GSC) is a rapidly growing 4,000+ cloud consulting team driving customer success with Oracle Cloud Implementations. The Bid Manager will be part of the Enterprise Architecture Team, driving large-scale transformation opportunities. As a Bid Manager, you will prepare estimations, Project timelines, and proposals in collaboration with the SMEs /Leads/Enterprise Architects for Oracle SaaS (Fusion), PaaS, and IaaS deals, ensuring that each bid is compliant and competitive. This position requires a strong understanding of Oracle's cloud products and solutions and a deep knowledge of the sales and bid process in the technology sector. During the presales cycle, your role will involve coordinating with cross-functional teams, including sales, enterprise architects, solution architects, global risk management and other technical experts, to develop tailored solutions that meet customer requirements. You will manage bid timelines, ensure all documentation is of the highest standard, and drive the strategy to secure new or expand existing business. You will work closely with the Oracle internal customers to identify opportunities and ensure bids align with the organization's strategic objectives. Your expertise in Oracle products and ability to manage multiple complex deals will be key to your success in this role. Beyond bid management, you will collaborate with SMEs to maintain marketing collaterals, refine estimations, develop videos and key documents, contribute to GTM strategies, and engage in thought leadership as part of the Enterprise Architect Team. Career Level - IC3 #LI-DNI Career Level - IC3 Responsibilities Key Responsibilities Complete Ownership of the Bid : Take full ownership of the bid process from start to finish, ensuring all aspects of the proposal & estimation are managed efficiently and effectively, and that the bid is competitive, compliant, and aligns with the customer's needs. Bid Strategy & Execution : Lead the strategic planning and execution of bids for large Oracle SaaS (Fusion), PaaS, and IaaS deals. Ensure each proposal is competitive, compliant, and delivers value to the customers. Solution Tailoring and Estimation : Work with technical and solution architects to tailor Oracle cloud solutions (SaaS, PaaS, IaaS) and support on estimations to meet customer needs, ensuring optimal value propositions. Cross-functional collaboration : Collaborate with sales, enterprise architects, solution architects, global risk management, and delivery teams to develop comprehensive bid responses that include pricing and technical architecture. Business Development Activities : Engage in business development efforts by hosting customer visits, collaborating with Marketing and delivery teams on presentations/demos, working on Go-to-Market (GTM) strategies to help expand Oracle's solutions offering, and bringing in fresh ideas for the Experience Center. Customer Engagement : Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders within customer organizations to understand their requirements and ensure the bid aligns with their needs and expectations. Proposal Writing & Documentation : Oversee the writing of high-quality, customer-focused proposals that clearly articulate the benefits of Oracle SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS solutions. Ensure all technical and business documentation is clear, professional, and complete. Bid Management : Manage the project for the bid lifecycle, ensuring that deadlines are met and all deliverables align with customer requirements. Monitor progress and adjust timelines and resources as necessary. Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure bids comply with legal, contractual, and regulatory requirements. Assess and manage risks associated with the bid, developing mitigation strategies where necessary. Post-Submission Activities : Manage bid clarifications, proposal defence, negotiation processes, and contract finalization after submission. Address customer feedback and modify proposals as necessary. Continuous Improvement : Lead efforts to capture lessons learned and implement improvement processes for future bids. Creative Content Development & Visual Storytelling : Develop visually compelling presentations, proposals, and documents that effectively communicate complex ideas, product benefits, and solutions in an engaging and accessible manner. Leverage creativity to design visually impactful bid documents, presentations, and customer-facing materials highlighting the value of Oracle's solutions (SaaS, PaaS, IaaS), using graphics, infographics, and design tools. Video Creation: Collaborate with marketing or internal teams to create high-quality videos for bid presentations, customer demonstrations, or promotional purposes. Ensure that video content aligns with the bid strategy and effectively highlights Oracle's solutions. Required Experience & Qualification Education: A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. MBA will be an added advantage. Work Experience: Minimum 10-12 years of experience in bid management, proposal writing, or project management, focusing on Oracle SaaS (Fusion), PaaS, and IaaS products. Proven success in owning the bid process end-to-end and managing high-value, complex bids in the enterprise IT/cloud space. Involvement in business development activities such as customer engagement, hosting meetings and contributing to GTM solution strategies. Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional teams and managing multiple bids simultaneously in a challenging environment. Familiarity with Oracle products (Fusion applications) and understanding of the cloud market landscape is essential. Creative Presentation and Video Skills: Experience in creating visually appealing presentations (using PowerPoint, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.) and video content (using tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, etc.) is a plus. Certifications and Methodologies: Certification in Bid Management (e.g., APMP) is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of proposal methodologies (e.g., Shipley, APMP best practices). Oracle Cloud certifications would be advantageous. Other Requirements: Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with senior stakeholders and customers. Excellent written skills, with the ability to produce precise, professional, and compelling proposals. Solid understanding of Oracles cloud solutions (SaaS, PaaS, IaaS), their value propositions, and how they align with customer needs. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple bids concurrently. Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is a must. Creative and Visual Communication: Strong creative skills with the ability to design visually compelling presentations, infographics, and other materials that enhance bid proposals. Familiarity with design and video editing software is desirable. #LI-DNI
