Job Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain BI and analytics solutions on Google Cloud
• Build and manage LookML semantic models, Explores, and derived tables in Looker
• Develop interactive, performance-optimized dashboards for enterprise stakeholders
• Enable self-service analytics using Looker and Looker Studio
• Work with BigQuery to design analytics-ready datasets, including scheduled queries and transformations
• Implement row-level security and authorized views in BigQuery
• Optimize query performance through partitioning, clustering, and query tuning
• Support business users with Connected Sheets for BigQuery-based reporting
• Collaborate with clients to gather requirements, define KPIs, and translate business needs into technical solutions
• Ensure data accuracy, governance, and scalability across BI solutions
  

Technical Skills Required

• Looker : LookML modeling, Explores, dashboards
• Looker Studio (formerly Google Data Studio) for self-service reporting
  

BigQuery Analytics

• Scheduled queries
• BI Engine
• Slots and workload management
• Semantic layer design using LookML views and derived tables
• BigQuery row-level security and authorized views
• Connected Sheets for BigQuery data analysis in Google Sheets
• Advanced SQL performance optimization (partitioning, clustering, execution plans)
• Power BI or Tableau experience with BigQuery connectors
  

Experience & Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in BI and analytics
• At least 1 year of hands-on experience with Looker or BigQuery
• Successfully delivered 2 or more LookML projects or enterprise dashboard implementations
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills with experience in client-facing roles and requirements gathering

• Understanding of analytics best practices, governance, and data modeling standards
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple client deliverables
