Our mission is to make environmental data accessible, actionable, and impactful for better decision-making in the face of climate challenges.Position SummaryWe are looking for a dynamic, results-driven Business Development Manager to lead our government sales efforts, focusing on offering environmental monitoring solutions to local, state, and central government agencies. This role requires someone who understands government procurement processes and is passionate about contributing to environmental sustainability.Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans targeting government departments and agencies at various levels (municipal, state, central).
  • Identify potential government clients, understand their environmental monitoring needs, and position Aurassure’s solutions accordingly.
  • Build strong relationships with key decision-makers in government institutions through regular meetings, presentations, and consultative engagements.
  • Conduct research and stay informed on environmental issues including air quality, climate change, and urban flooding, using scientific methods and market insights.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams — including marketing, product development, and customer support — to deliver tailored solutions and ensure client satisfaction.
  • Prepare compelling proposals, RFP responses, and technical/commercial presentations that align with government procurement standards.
  • Stay up to date on public sector procurement processes, policies, and regulations to ensure full compliance.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor offerings, and policy changes to identify new opportunities and refine sales strategies.
  • Participate in industry events, environmental conferences, and government exhibitions to promote Aurassure’s brand and offerings.
  • Maintain accurate records of client interactions, opportunities, and sales activities using CRM tools.
  • Achieve and exceed assigned sales targets and report progress regularly to leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Adminstration, Environmental Science, Geography, or a related field.
  • A Master’s degree or PhD in a relevant field is preferred and will be a strong advantage.
  • Minimum 3 years of successful sales experience, with a demonstrated history of selling to government agencies.
  • Solid understanding of government procurement policies, regulations, and tendering processes.
  • Knowledge of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and geospatial technologies is a plus.
  • Passionate about environmental issues, with working knowledge of air quality monitoring, climate change, or urban flooding preferred.
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
  • Proficient in using CRM platforms and digital sales tools.
  • Willingness to travel for client meetings and industry events.
