BCP Resilience Manager

Role Overview

KPMG India is seeking an experienced BCP Resilience Manager to lead a team of consultants in designing and implementing robust Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery (BCDR) frameworks across diverse industry sectors. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in advising clients on resilience strategies, ensuring timely recovery from disruptions, and enhancing operational and technical infrastructures. This role demands a blend of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and strong stakeholder engagement capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

Business Continuity Management (BCM)

• Lead Business Impact Analysis (BIA) exercises to identify critical business functions and assess disruption impacts.
• Conduct risk assessments to evaluate threats and vulnerabilities, and prioritize mitigation strategies.
• Develop and implement BCP strategies aligned with client business objectives and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain and update BCP documentation, ensuring clarity and accessibility for all stakeholders.
• Drive organization-wide BCP awareness and training programs to foster a culture of resilience.

Disaster Recovery (DR)

• Design and execute DR plans for IT systems and infrastructure, ensuring alignment with business recovery objectives.
• Define and manage Recovery Time Objectives (RTO) and Recovery Point Objectives (RPO).
• Conduct DR drills and tabletop exercises, and incorporate lessons learned into plan updates.
• Collaborate with IT and infrastructure teams to ensure readiness of backup, replication, and failover mechanisms.

Cloud Resilience

• Architect fault-tolerant and highly available cloud solutions across AWS, Azure, and GCP platforms.
• Implement cloud-native DR strategies using tools such as AWS Backup and Azure Site Recovery.
• Integrate cloud monitoring tools (e.g., CloudWatch, Azure Monitor) with incident response workflows.
• Ensure compliance with standards such as ISO 22301 and SOC 2, and enforce IAM best practices.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Proven experience in BCM, DR, and cloud resilience across enterprise environments.
• Strong understanding of risk management frameworks and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
• Ability to manage multiple client engagements and mentor junior consultants.

Preferred Certifications

• CBCP (Certified Business Continuity Professional)
• ISO 22301 Lead Implementer / Lead Auditor
• Cloud Architect Certifications (AWS / Azure / GCP)
