Job Description

Job Summary:The Bartender is responsible for preparing and serving beverages, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic, to guests in a timely and professional manner. This role ensures high levels of guest satisfaction through exceptional service, adherence to hygiene and safety standards, and deep knowledge of beverage offerings. Key Responsibilities:Prepare and serve drinks in accordance with standard recipes and guest preferences. Greet guests in a friendly and professional manner. Ensure bar is fully stocked with supplies and ingredients before and during shifts. Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, glassware, and equipment. Take orders directly from guests or through service staff. Suggest and upsell cocktails, wines, and other beverages. Check identification of customers to verify age requirements for alcohol consumption. Monitor guest alcohol consumption and report any concerns to the supervisor. Handle cash and card payments accurately; process POS transactions. Ensure compliance with all hygiene, health, and safety regulations. Participate in inventory management and bar restocking. Assist in creating new cocktail recipes and seasonal beverage menus. Maintain a positive working environment with team members and contribute to overall restaurant/bar goals. Requirements:Proven experience as a bartender in a high-volume restaurant or hotel. Strong knowledge of mixing, garnishing, and serving drinks. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure. Basic math and POS system skills. Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays. Certification in bartending or responsible alcohol service (preferred).
