Job Description

A Bar Supervisor is a key leadership role in a bar or restaurant, responsible for overseeing daily operations and ensuring that service runs smoothly. They act as the bridge between the bar staff and management, and are crucial for maintaining high standards of quality, customer service, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Staff Supervision & Leadership:
  • Direct, motivate, and train bar staff, including bartenders and barbacks.
  • Create and manage weekly work schedules to ensure proper staffing levels.
  • Conduct pre-shift meetings to communicate daily goals, specials, and any changes.
  • Lead by example, assisting with bar service during peak hours.
  • Customer Service & Experience:
  • Ensure all guests receive prompt, friendly, and exceptional service.
  • Address and resolve customer complaints or issues in a professional manner.
  • Maintain a positive and welcoming atmosphere in the bar area.
  • Operational Management:
  • Oversee daily bar operations, including opening and closing procedures.
  • Monitor and manage bar inventory, including ordering, receiving, and stocking products.
  • Conduct regular stock takes to control costs and minimize waste.
  • Handle cash transactions and ensure accurate till reconciliation at the end of each shift.
  • Ensure all equipment is in good working order and report any maintenance issues.
  • Compliance & Safety:
  • Enforce all health, safety, and hygiene regulations, ensuring the bar area is clean and well-organized.
  • Ensure strict compliance with all local and state liquor laws, including checking IDs and preventing over-serving.
  • Menu & Promotions:
  • Possess a strong knowledge of cocktails, spirits, beer, and wine to assist staff and make recommendations to customers.
  • Collaborate with management to develop new drink menus and promotional strategies.

Essential Skills & Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a bar or hospitality setting, with a minimum of one year in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of beverage preparation, mixology, and a passion for the industry.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of POS (Point of Sale) systems, inventory management, and cash handling procedures.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
