Job Description

Role Summary

The Banquet Manager is responsible for planning, organising, and supervising all banquet and event operations within the hotel. This role ensures flawless event execution, guest satisfaction, staff coordination, budget control, and adherence to brand standards. The Banquet Manager works closely with Sales, F&B, Culinary, and Events teams to deliver exceptional experiences for corporate functions, weddings, conferences, and special events.

Key Responsibilities1. Event Planning & Coordination

  • Coordinate with the Sales & Events team to understand client requirements.
  • Plan event layouts, timelines, seating arrangements, and service flow.
  • Oversee setup, décor, audiovisual requirements, and banquet equipment.

2. Banquet Operations Management

  • Supervises all banquet events from preparation to breakdown.
  • Ensures food and beverage service is efficient, timely, and aligned with hotel standards.
  • Troubleshoots on-the-spot issues to ensure smooth operations.

3. Guest Relations & Client Management

  • Communicate with clients before and during the event to ensure satisfaction.
  • Handle guest feedback and resolve concerns promptly.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, wedding planners, and organisers.

4. Team Leadership & Training

  • Manage banquet staff including captains, servers, runners, and setup crew.
  • Conduct daily briefings, assign tasks, and ensure service readiness.
  • Train staff on service standards, etiquette, safety, and grooming.

5. Financial Management & Inventory Control

  • Manage banquet budgets, cost controls, and labour scheduling.
  • Monitor consumption, wastage, and inventory of supplies, linens, and equipment.
  • Work with Finance to finalise billing, event revenue reports, and cost analyses.

6. Standards, Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure banquet operations meet hotel brand standards and quality measures.
  • Maintain hygiene, food safety, and occupational safety compliance.
  • Coordinate with HODs (F&B, Culinary, Housekeeping, Engineering) for seamless operations.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
