Job Description

As an experienced and dynamic Bakery and Patisserie Head Chef, you will lead our bakery and pastry operations with a focus on creating high-quality breads, pastries, and patisserie items. Your key responsibilities will include overseeing the production process, maintaining standards of excellence, managing the kitchen operations, and leading a team of talented bakers and pastry chefs. You will play a crucial role in innovating new products, ensuring consistency, and fostering a positive working environment. Your main duties will involve leading the creation of artisanal breads and a variety of patisserie items, developing new recipes, and improving existing ones to stay ahead of industry trends. You will be responsible for the daily operations of the bakery and pastry section, managing inventory, ordering supplies, and maintaining food cost efficiency. Additionally, you will train, supervise, and motivate the bakery team, ensuring a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment in compliance with food safety regulations. Collaboration with the broader culinary team to align with menu offerings and quality standards will be essential. You must manage production schedules to meet customer demands and business needs while ensuring consistency in taste, texture, and presentation of all baked goods and pastries. To qualify for this role, you must have proven experience as a Head Chef or Sous Chef in a bakery or patisserie setting, with in-depth knowledge and experience in baking artisanal breads and producing high-end patisserie items. Strong leadership skills, food safety standards knowledge, and effective kitchen management practices are required. Additionally, you should have the ability to manage budgets, food costs, and inventory efficiently, along with excellent organizational and time management skills. Preferred qualifications include formal culinary training, experience in fine dining or high-end bakery establishments, and a portfolio showcasing your pastry and bread-making expertise.
