Bakery Chef

Job Summary:We are seeking a creative and experienced Bakery Chef to lead our bakery section and deliver high-quality, fresh, and innovative baked goods. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for baking, keen attention to detail, and the ability to manage time and production efficiently in a high-paced kitchen environment. Key Responsibilities:Prepare a wide variety of baked goods including breads, cakes, cookies, pastries, and desserts, following traditional and modern recipes. Design new and seasonal bakery items aligned with the brand’s vision and customer preferences. Oversee daily production schedules and ensure timely delivery of all bakery products. Monitor ingredient stocks, place orders when necessary, and minimize waste through proper inventory control. Maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and safety in the kitchen as per FSSAI and local guidelines. Train and supervise junior staff, interns, and kitchen assistants. Ensure consistency in quality, taste, and presentation of all baked goods. Experiment with new techniques and ingredients to innovate and elevate the menu. Requirements:Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a Bakery Chef or similar role. Degree/Diploma in Bakery Arts, Culinary Arts, or relevant certification. Strong knowledge of bakery techniques, dessert plating, and food safety standards. Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays if required. Excellent time management and organizational skills. Creativity, passion for baking, and a flair for presentation. Knowledge of operating bakery equipment such as mixers, ovens, dough sheeters, and proofers. Preferred Skills:Experience in artisan breads, sourdoughs, laminated pastries, and custom cakes. Knowledge of dietary baking (gluten-free, vegan, etc.) is a plus. Familiarity with costing and pricing baked products.
