✅ Role Summary

We are seeking a skilled

Senior Software Engineer

with hands-on experience in

Java (J2EE)

and

Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of microservices architecture, cloud-native development, and DevOps practices. This is a hybrid role based in Chennai.

🛠️ Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Java/J2EE-based microservices using Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and related frameworks.
• Build and deploy RESTful APIs and scalable backend systems.
• Work on front-end components using JavaScript, Angular, or React.
• Leverage cloud services in GCP for deployment, scaling, and monitoring.
• Work with containerization tools like Docker, Kubernetes, and orchestrate deployments.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines using tools like Tekton, Jenkins, GitHub, and Gradle.
• Handle PostgreSQL, and integrate with NoSQL and Big Data tools where needed (e.g. BigQuery, Kafka, MQTT).
• Follow clean code principles and development practices such as Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Extreme Programming (XP).
• Collaborate in paired or mob programming environments to ensure code quality and rapid delivery.
  

✅ Must-Have Skills

• Strong experience in Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, REST API Development
• At least 2+ years of strong hands-on experience in GCP
• Cloud-native development using Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines
• Proficiency in SQL/PostgreSQL, and experience with big data & streaming tools (e.g., Kafka, MQTT)
  

💼 Preferred Skills

• Experience with Terraform, BigQuery, or OpenShift
• Familiarity with Agile/XP methodologies
• Knowledge of TDD, paired programming, and evolutionary architecture
  

🎓 Education

• Required: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
• Preferred: Master’s Degree
