About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Backend Developer (Python) with 3–5+ years of hands-on experience in building and maintaining backend systems, APIs, and integrations. At Ideen, you’ll play a key role in designing robust server-side logic for AI-driven and enterprise applications.

You will work closely with our frontend developers, QA engineers, and product teams to deliver scalable backend solutions. This role is ideal for developers who have solid expertise in Python, FastAPI, and databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB), and are excited about integrating Generative AI APIs (OpenAI, Hugging Face) into real-world applications. Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain backend applications using Python & FastAPI.
• Develop RESTful APIs and ensure seamless integration with frontend applications.
• Work with relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB) for data modeling and optimization.
• Integrate GenAI APIs (e.g., OpenAI, Hugging Face) into product workflows.
• Ensure application scalability, performance, and security best practices.
• Collaborate with frontend, QA, and product teams in an Agile development environment.
• Write clean, reusable, and well-documented code.
• Support deployment on cloud and Linux-based environments.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• 3–5+ years of experience in backend development with Python.
• Strong expertise in FastAPI / Flask / Django.
• Proficiency in PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or other relational/NoSQL databases.
• Hands-on experience with API development and integration.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) preferred.
• Experience with Git version control.
• Strong problem-solving, debugging, and optimization skills.

Preferred Skills (Plus Points)

• Exposure to Generative AI APIs (OpenAI, Hugging Face).
• Experience with microservices architecture and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of security best practices (OAuth, JWT, encryption).
