Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Back End Developer (REMOTE JOB). The Back End Developer will be responsible for developing and maintaining server-side components, ensuring high performance and responsiveness to front-end requests. Daily tasks include coding, debugging, and collaborating with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements. Additional responsibilities include optimizing applications for maximum speed and scalability and implementing security and data protection measures.

  Lightweight web framework for building RESTful APIs

• MongoDB

  Flexible NoSQL database to store user info, video metadata, comments

• Mongoose

  ODM (Object Data Modeling) tool to connect Node with MongoDB

• Redis

  In-memory cache system to store trending videos, sessions, rate-limiting

• Firebase Auth

  OR

  JWT

  Secure and scalable user authentication (login, token-based access)

• AWS S3

  Cloud file storage for large video files (long-form content)

• Multer

  Handle file uploads in Node.js (especially video files)

• Cloudinary (optional)

  For optional video compression, transformation, CDN delivery

• Rate Limiting (e.g. express-rate-limit)

  Protect APIs from spam or abuse

• Pagination / Filtering / Sorting

  Essential for scalable video feeds & search

• Git + GitHub

  Version control and team collaboration

• FFmpeg

  Video compression (especially mobile uploads)

• ElasticSearch

Stipend & Growth
