Role Description

• Develop, optimize, and maintain solutions to migrate data and processes from 

  Azure Synapse

   to 

  SQL Server

   or other SQL platforms.
• Design and implement backend services and APIs that integrate seamlessly with SQL databases.
• Write, optimize, and troubleshoot 

  complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and database functions

  .
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to deliver reliable solutions.
• Monitor and optimize database performance, ensuring 

  scalability, security, and data integrity

  .
• Apply best practices in 

  data modelling, indexing, and performance tuning

  .
• Participate in system design discussions, code reviews, and architecture planning.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional experience

   in backend development and SQL databases.
• Strong knowledge of 

  SQL Server

   (or equivalent relational databases).
• Hands-on experience with 

  Azure Synapse Analytics

   and database migration/ETL processes.
• Proficiency in a backend programming language such as 

  C#, Python, Java, or Node.js

  .
• Experience with 

  API development and integration

  .
• Solid understanding of 

  relational database design and normalization principles

  .
• Familiarity with 

  Azure cloud services

   (Data Factory, Synapse Pipelines, SQL Database, etc.) is a plus.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in 

  performance tuning of large-scale SQL queries

  .
• Knowledge of 

  NoSQL or hybrid data solutions

  .
• Exposure to 

  CI/CD pipelines

   and DevOps for database deployments.
• Understanding of 

  data governance and compliance practices

  .
