Back End Developer

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Node.js/Express.js Backend Developer to join our team.

Compensation:

• Design, develop, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable server-side applications and APIs using Node.js and Express.js.
• Integrate user-facing elements developed by front-end developers with server-side logic.
• Implement data storage solutions, including relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB).
• Write clean, well-documented, and testable code following best practices (e.g., unit tests, integration tests).
• Optimize applications for maximum speed, scalability, and security.
• Collaborate with front-end developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to define and implement new features.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing software.
• Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and share knowledge.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends.
• Apply computational thinking principles (decomposition, pattern recognition, abstraction, and algorithmic design) to solve complex backend challenges and design efficient systems.

• Proven 3+ years of professional experience as a Backend Developer.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+) and its asynchronous nature (Promises, async/await).
• In-depth knowledge of Node.js and the Express.js framework.
• Experience designing and building RESTful APIs.
• Proficiency with database technologies (e.g., MongoDB, PostgreSQL, MySQL) and ORM/ODM libraries.
• Experience with version control systems, primarily Git.
• Familiarity with testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, Mocha, Chai).
• Understanding of fundamental design principles behind scalable applications.
• Demonstrable ability to apply computational thinking:
