Role Introduction


The Media Planning Associate will be responsible for assisting in the development and execution of media plans that effectively reach target audiences and achieve client objectives. This role requires a blend of analytical skills, creativity, and strategic thinking to support media planning activities across various platforms, with the ideal candidate possessing a background in advertising, excellent organizational abilities, and a keen eye for detail.


Responsibilities:

  1. Assist in developing comprehensive media plans to achieve client marketing objectives.
  2. Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform media strategies.
  3. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment of media plans with overall campaign goals.
  4. Coordinate the implementation and monitoring of media campaigns.
  5. Manage timelines and deliverables to ensure campaigns are executed on schedule.
  6. Work with media vendors and partners to negotiate rates and placements.
  7. Analyze campaign performance data to provide insights and recommendations.
  8. Prepare regular reports and presentations for clients on campaign performance.
  9. Utilize analytics tools to track and measure the effectiveness of media plans.
  10. Maintain ongoing communication with clients to understand their needs and objectives.
  11. Provide exceptional client service by addressing inquiries and concerns promptly.


Requirements:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or a related field.
  2. 5 years of experience in media planning within an advertising agency.
  3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  4. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and trends.
  5. Proficiency in media planning tools and software (e.g., Nielsen, Comscore, Google Analytics).
  6. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  7. Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  8. Knowledge of digital media, social media platforms, and emerging trends.
  9. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  10. Collaborative team player with a positive attitude.
  11. Proactive and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  12. Strong problem-solving skills and resourcefulness.
  13. Experience working with a variety of media channels including digital, print, broadcast, and social media.
