About the Role

We are seeking an experienced AWS Platform Engineer to architect, build, and manage secure, scalable, and automated cloud platforms. The ideal candidate is highly skilled in Infrastructure-as-Code, CI/CD pipelines, cloud governance, and AWS platform automation. This role emphasizes developer productivity, platform reliability, and consistent operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect, build, and maintain AWS platform components including EKS, Lambda, CloudFront, IAM, and multi-account environments aligned with AWS Control Tower best practices.
• Develop enterprise-grade Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform and AWS CDK, following GitOps principles.
• Lead automation initiatives to standardize and improve platform reliability, performance, and security.
• Design and maintain scalable CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, integrating automated testing, approvals, and deployment workflows.
• Build and manage comprehensive observability solutions using CloudWatch, Grafana, Prometheus, and OpenTelemetry to ensure platform uptime and performance.
• Enforce strong cloud governance through SCPs, AWS Config, AWS SSO, and least-privilege IAM policies.
• Partner with engineering teams to deliver platform capabilities that accelerate development workflows and reduce operational friction.
• Champion a Platform-as-a-Product approach by defining SLAs, enhancing platform usability, and ensuring seamless developer onboarding and satisfaction.

• Expert proficiency in Terraform, AWS CDK, and GitOps-based workflows.
• Proven ability to architect secure, scalable, reusable IaC modules and automation frameworks.

3. CI/CD & Reliability Engineering

• Advanced experience designing and managing pipelines using GitHub Actions.
• Strong knowledge of observability and monitoring stacks:
• CloudWatch
• Prometheus
• Grafana
• OpenTelemetry

4. Security, Governance & Compliance

• Demonstrated experience implementing and managing:
• Service Control Policies (SCPs)
• AWS Config rules
• AWS SSO and federated access
• Least-privilege IAM architectures across engineering teams

5. Platform-as-a-Product Mindset

• Experience building or contributing to Internal Developer Platforms (IDPs).

Ownership of platform SLAs, lifecycle management, and developer-experience improvements.

Educational Qualification

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent industry experience (preferred).
• Certification in AWS will be preferred.
