AVP Finance

As the Financial Manager at the company, your role is crucial in maximizing returns on financial assets by establishing financial policies, procedures, controls, and reporting systems. You will also be responsible for coordinating the company's financial planning and budget management functions to ensure compliance with generally accepted finance and legal principles. Key Roles and Responsibilities: - Guide financial decisions and protect assets by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies and procedures. - Conduct and manage internal audits and provide information to external auditors. - Prepare budgets and achieve budget objectives by collecting, analyzing, and consolidating financial data and recommending corrective actions. - Provide regular updates on the financial status of the company by collecting, interpreting, and reporting financial data. - Prepare periodic management reports by analyzing and summarizing information and trends. - Ensure compliance with legal requirements and anticipate future legislation to advise management on necessary actions. - Safeguard operations by maintaining confidentiality of financial information and plans. Desired skills & experience: - Ability to create and analyze financial reports, statements, and budget documents. - Recognize and be responsive to the needs of all stakeholders. - Proficient in managing a team, including conducting regular progress reviews and implementing plans for team improvement. - Effective communication skills. - Qualification: Chartered Accountant or MBA in Finance. - Experience: 8-15 years in mid to senior-level management positions focusing on financial planning, budgeting, cash flow, investment priorities, and policy matters.
