Type: Full-time

Why this Role Exists

Hotelogix is a global cloud hospitality SaaS platform (~$3.5M–4M ARR) operating across India, SEA,

who can lead FP&A, controllership, and business finance with the vision and drive of a future CFO.

This role is designed for a finance leader who can move seamlessly between board-level strategy

and operational precision—someone who will shape financial excellence, investor confidence, and

long-term enterprise value.

Outcomes (12–18 months)

1. Build an investor-ready finance engine: Deliver accurate, forward-looking insights through

rolling forecasts, variance analysis, and SaaS metrics dashboards.

2. Establish governance and compliance maturity: Clean audit, zero material findings, documented

RevRec and accounting policies, inter-company hygiene.

3. Create a single source of truth for SaaS metrics: ARR, NRR, GRR, CAC, Payback, LTV, Magic

Number, Gross Margin by segment—automated and board-ready.

4. M&A preparedness: Diligence-ready data room with indexed files across finance, legal, HR, tax,

and customer contracts.

5. Cash optimization: Tight collections, improved DSO, disciplined burn, and clear visibility on

EBITDA trajectory.

6. Enable cross-functional financial decisioning: Finance as a strategic business partner to Sales,

Ops, and Product.

Core Responsibilities

Strategic Finance & FP&A

• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and scenario planning; deliver actionable variance analysis to

leadership.

• Develop and refine unit economics across products, markets, and customer segments (SMB vs

Mid-Market Enterprise).

• Partner with GTM teams on pricing, pipeline quality, and revenue performance; identify levers

for margin expansion.

• Own board reporting: monthly SaaS scorecard, KPI bridges (ARR, GM, EBITDA, Cash), and

investment narrative.

• Support CEO and Board on capital allocation, growth investments, and valuation modeling.

Controllership & Compliance

• Oversee monthly and quarterly closes (target 5 days); ensure robust reconciliations and

accounting accuracy.

• Modernize chart of accounts and implement scalable finance systems (ERP, billing, collections,

expense tools).

• Drive statutory compliance across GST, TDS, FEMA, inter-company agreements, transfer

pricing, and group audits.

• Strengthen revenue recognition policies in line with Ind AS 115 / ASC 606 principles.

Revenue Operations & Collections

• Govern pricing, discounting, and commissions; align bookings, billings, and cash.

• Monitor deferred revenue, receivables aging, and implement proactive collection drives.

• Partner with Sales/CS to reduce DSO and improve cash conversion.

M&A Readiness & Investor Engagement

• Maintain an always-ready data room—organized, current, and diligence-proof.

• Lead diligence preparation sprints—financial normalization, KPI validation, variance bridge,

and red-flag resolution.

• Support investor/buyer modeling with normalized P&Ls, cohort data, and synergy assessments.

• Act as the financial storyteller for investors, highlighting growth levers and de-risking narrative.

Leadership & Team Development

• Lead and mentor the finance and accounting team, ensuring capability growth and ownership

mindset.

• Establish policies, controls, and approval workflows across procurement, expenses, and credit

notes.

• Build a culture of financial transparency and strategic partnership with other business units.

• Groom and position yourself as the next-generation CFO, capable of managing investor

relationships and capital strategy.

Candidate Profile

• 10–15 years total experience, with at least 5+ years in SaaS/Software finance leadership roles.

• Chartered Accountant (CA) or MBA-Finance from a top institution.

• Proven experience managing FP&A, controllership, and audit in a high-growth environment.

• Deep understanding of SaaS metrics, revenue operations, and B2B subscription economics.

• Hands-on with Excel/BI tools and comfortable adopting new finance tech stacks.

• Strong communication and executive presence—able to influence board discussions and cross-

functional leaders.

• Ambitious, detail-driven, and motivated to evolve into a CFO role within 2–3 years.

Success Metrics

• Close cadence: 5 working days, no material post-close changes.

• Forecast accuracy: 5% on revenue, 8% on EBITDA.

• Cash management: DSO reduced, burn aligned to target, healthy cash runway.

• SaaS metrics: Automated, validated, and reviewed monthly.

• Compliance: Zero audit qualifications or statutory delays.

• Investor readiness: Diligence prep completed in 72 hours.
