Job Overview

Sourcing Sathi is seeking a passionate and innovative Automobile Designer & Engineer who combines creativity with technical expertise to design, develop, and optimize vehicle components and overall aesthetics. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in automotive design software (CATIA, SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and engineering tools, with a strong eye for design, functionality, and performance.

This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge automotive projects, from concept to prototype, ensuring a balance of style, ergonomics, safety, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Design innovative and functional automobile concepts, interiors, and exteriors.
• Develop 3D models, technical drawings, and prototypes using CAD software.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure design feasibility.
• Work on improving vehicle ergonomics, safety, and aerodynamics.
• Conduct research on automotive trends, materials, and technologies.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and brand guidelines.
• Participate in the full product development cycle from ideation to launch.
• Optimize designs for performance, cost-effectiveness, and manufacturing efficiency.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of professional experience in automobile design/engineering.
• Proficiency in CAD software such as CATIA, SolidWorks, AutoCAD (or similar).
• Strong understanding of vehicle dynamics, ergonomics, and aerodynamics.
• Knowledge of automotive materials, manufacturing processes, and safety standards.
• Creative mindset with the ability to translate concepts into practical designs.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
• Portfolio showcasing automobile design projects (concepts, 3D models, or prototypes).

Nice to Have

• Experience in electric vehicle (EV) design and development.
• Knowledge of sustainable materials and green automotive technologies.
• Familiarity with 3D rendering tools (KeyShot, Blender, VRED) for design visualization.
• Passion for automotive trends, racing, or mobility innovations.
