Automation Tester Intern

Key Responsibilities:

• Mobile App Testing (Kotlin & Flutter)
• Design and maintain automated test scripts for Android apps built using Kotlin using tools like Appium, Espresso, or UI Automator.
• Test cross-platform Flutter applications using Flutter Driver, Appium, or Integration Tests.
• Validate UI/UX consistency, app flows, deep links, and push notification behaviour.
• Web Testing (Next.js Applications)
• Develop and execute automation scripts for web applications using Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress.
• Ensure cross-browser compatibility, responsive behaviour, and performance of Next.js-based pages.
• Perform accessibility and SEO testing (basic-level).
• End-to-End QA Activities
• Execute manual and automated test cases for mobile and web platforms.
• Execute manual and automated test cases for mobile and web platforms.
• Understand requirements, story acceptance criteria, and ensure complete test coverage.
• Identify, document, and track defects using JIRA, Azure DevOps, or equivalent tools.
• Conduct regression, smoke, integration, and performance testing.
• Test Automation & DevOps
• Build and optimize automation frameworks using Java/Python/JavaScript, TestNG, PyTest, JUnit, Mocha, or Jest.
• Integrate automation scripts with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).
• Maintain test reports and logs using tools like Allure, Extent Reports, or ReportPortal.
• Documentation & Collaboration
• Prepare detailed test cases, test plans, test strategy documents, and execution reports.
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and QA leads for smooth release cycles.
• Contribute to improving QA processes and testing efficiency.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Technical Skills
• Experience: 6-9 months+ in Automation Testing or Manual Testing.
• Mobile Testing Tools: Appium, Espresso, UI Automator, Flutter Driver.
• Web Testing Tools: Selenium, Playwright, Cypress.
• Programming Languages: Java / Python / JavaScript (basic to intermediate proficiency).
• CI/CD: Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab Pipelines.
• Databases: MySQL, MongoDB (basic queries).
• QA Process Knowledge
• Solid understanding of STLC, SDLC, defect life cycle, and QA methodologies.
• Familiarity with agile (Scrum/Kanban) workflows.
• Soft Skills
• Strong analytical and debugging skills.
• Good communication and collaboration abilities.
