AutoCAD Engineer

Position: Auto CAD Engineer
Location: Qatar

Requirements:

• 2 to 10 Years Experience
• Passport is Needed

Technical Software Skills

• AutoCAD: Mastery of the software for creating and modifying 2D and 3D drawings of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Revit: While AutoCAD is the base, working knowledge of Revit is a significant advantage, as many firms have shifted towards or use a combination of both for Building Information Modelling (BIM).
• Other Software: Familiarity with software for project management and coordination, such as Navisworks, can be a major plus.

Required Knowledge

• System Fundamentals: A firm understanding of the basics of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems, as well as fire protection.
• Industry Standards: Knowledge of relevant building codes, regulations, and drafting standards to ensure compliance and accuracy.
• Drawing Types: Experience in producing and understanding various drawing types, including shop drawings, as-built drawings, and coordination layouts.

Experience and Soft Skills

• Coordination: Demonstrated ability to coordinate with other engineering disciplines (e.g., architectural, structural) to ensure proper integration.
• Attention to Detail: A high degree of accuracy and precision is critical to ensure project specifications are met and clashes are avoided.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with engineers, architects, and project managers.
• Teamwork: The ability to work effectively within a project team to meet deadlines.
• Problem-Solving: Aptitude for identifying and addressing design challenges that arise during the drafting process.
