AutoCAD Engineer

As an AutoCAD Engineer at this company located in Qatar, you will be responsible for creating and modifying 2D and 3D drawings of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems using AutoCAD. A good understanding of Revit is advantageous due to the increasing use of Building Information Modelling (BIM) in the industry. Familiarity with software like Navisworks for project management and coordination can also be beneficial. Your knowledge of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems fundamentals, as well as fire protection, will be essential. Understanding relevant building codes, regulations, and drafting standards is crucial to ensure compliance and accuracy in your drawings. Experience in producing various drawing types such as shop drawings, as-built drawings, and coordination layouts will be required. In this role, you should demonstrate strong coordination skills with other engineering disciplines, attention to detail to ensure accuracy and avoid clashes, excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with different team members, and the ability to work well within a project team to meet deadlines. Your problem-solving skills will be instrumental in addressing design challenges during the drafting process.
