About the Role

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant Merchandiser to support the Senior

Merchandiser in daily merchandising operations. The role includes PO creation, vendor coordination,

T&A management, production follow-ups, and factory visits. This position is ideal for someone

looking to build a strong merchandising foundation within a fast-growing kidswear brand.

Key Responsibilities

Purchase Order Management

 Assist the Senior Merchandiser in preparing and issuing Purchase Orders as per production

requirements.

 Ensure PO accuracy, maintain records, and track order status across all vendors.

T&A (Time & Action) Planning and Updating

 Prepare, maintain, and update T&A calendars for all active styles.

 Track key milestones: fabric procurement, sampling, approvals, production start, finishing,

and dispatch.

 Proactively flag delays and coordinate corrective actions with vendors and internal teams.

Vendor & Factory Coordination

 Coordinate daily with manufacturing vendors regarding sampling, approvals, trims, and

production progress.

 Follow up on timelines to ensure compliance with T&A commitments.

 Assist in resolving vendor-side delays or issues promptly.

Production Follow-Ups

 Monitor ongoing production and ensure timely execution as per T&A.

 Track deviations and escalate risks to the Senior Merchandiser.

 Support in conducting quality checks as required.

Factory Visits

 Conduct regular factory visits to review production flow, quality, timelines, and readiness for

dispatch.

 Share detailed reports and insights on bottlenecks or risks.

Internal Coordination

 Liaise with designers, catalog team, warehouse, and operations for smooth product

development and launch readiness.

 Handle sample tracking, approvals, and internal merchandising documents.

Additional Support

 Maintain merchandising trackers, sample logs, and documentation.

 Support Senior Merchandiser in preparation for launches, dispatch planning, and daily

operational requirements.

Qualifications

Educational Qualification

 Bachelor’s degree preferred in Fashion Technology, Apparel Manufacturing, Fashion

Management Or any related field in apparel/fashion

 Candidates with a Diploma in Fashion Merchandising or Apparel Production are also

eligible.

Professional Experience

 2–4 years of relevant apparel merchandising experience.

 Ecommerce apparel experience is mandatory.

 Strong communication skills (written and verbal).

 Proficient in Excel and merchandising documentation.

 Strong follow-up skills and attention to detail.

 Comfortable with regular factory visits.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
