Associate Technical Consultant

In this role at Hitachi Energy, as a Senior Professional, you will focus on developing advisory projects for major electricity sector agents. Your responsibilities will include assisting them in dealing with regulatory, economic, and electricity challenges. You will be expected to identify opportunities for new consulting business, build networks, create added value for customers and the organization, and propose research & development projects. Additionally, you will lead in the creation of new processes and tools, coach sub-ordinate colleagues, and ensure successful delivery of assignments as per agreed contracts. Key Responsibilities: - Identify opportunities for new and repeating consulting business - Build internal and external network for exchange of information - Create added value for customers and the organization - Ensure successful outcome of transactions, contracts, and proposals - Conduct risk and opportunities assessments - Lead in the creation of new processes and tool enhancement - Coach and develop sub-ordinate colleagues - Propose technical solutions and work on consulting assignments - Work with contract management activities - Follow work plans and cost estimates - Propose solutions to meet customer needs - Build network internally and externally for exchange of information - Provide support and technical advice to colleagues - Apply standard processes and tools - Ensure consulting activities comply with required safety regulations and contractual clauses - Contribute to achieving agreed business financial targets Qualifications Required: - Masters degree in electrical engineering, electrical power systems, or similar educational background - Advanced degrees preferred (Masters, PhD, MBA) with relevant work experience - Knowledge of the electric power industry, market, systems, and equipment - Experience in power systems studies with consulting approach - Knowledge in power systems analysis and experience in software simulation tools - Experience proposing solutions on various areas such as BESS, FACTS, E-mobility, smart city, etc. - Management, leadership, and advising experience in energy sector regulation, operation, and strategy - Proficiency in both spoken and written English language,
