Associate - Revenue Assurance

Job Description

Identify Revenue Leakage:

• Identify areas where the business is losing money due to incorrect billing, missed charges, fraud, or poor internal practices. This could involve checking discrepancies between the services provided and the revenue collected.

Analyze Data:

• Use data analysis tools to examine financial and operational data, uncovering trends or patterns that suggest underlying problems with revenue collection or business practices. Identifying the root causes of issues is a key aspect.

Create Reports:

• Summarize findings in comprehensive reports. These reports often include insights into what caused revenue loss and provide actionable recommendations for improvements or solutions to address those issues.

Monitor Systems:

• Constantly monitor the business s data streams, billing systems, and transaction logs for signs of anomalies, errors, or fraudulent activity. Preventative measures are key here to address potential issues before they result in significant losses.

Compare Costs and Income:

• Evaluate the profitability of individual products or services by comparing the associated income with the costs. This allows the company to spot areas where revenue could be optimized and where efficiency can be improved.

Manage Controls:

• Put in place controls to prevent issues such as incorrect returns or refunds, ensuring they are processed correctly and preventing any potential abuse that could lead to revenue loss.

Analyze Business Risk:

• Perform risk assessments to understand potential threats to the company s revenue stream, both internal and external. This includes evaluating market conditions, compliance risks, and technological vulnerabilities that could lead to revenue leakage.

Create Rules:

Qualifications and Experience

Revenue Management: Expertise in identifying and addressing revenue leakage through monitoring and controls. Reporting: Ability to create comprehensive reports with actionable insights. Risk Assessment: Experience in evaluating business risks and implementing preventive measures. Fraud Detection: Skills in developing rules and thresholds for fraud detection systems.
