Job Description

The Sales Associate’ is a member of Sutherland Connected Intelligence (Research & Analytics) team with a primary focus on lead generation and securing interest in Sutherland solutions. You will work closely with the sales team on sales strategy and execution, discovering opportunities and generating interest with prospective client. This person plays a key role in the expansion of the existing client base and identifying new opportunities with prospective clients.

Role responsibilities:

  • Engage with senior leadership to develop and implement an effective marketing campaign.
  • End to end Lead generation activities and process management (e.g. lead identification, qualification, cold calling)
  • Transmitting the value of Sutherland’s solutions and products to prospects and customers
  • Effectively position and differentiate Sutherland and our products against competitor firms and their offerings
  • Set-up and participate in prospective client and current client discussions.
  • Proficient in account planning and management; experience in handling distance sales
  • Assist with campaign tracking, analysis and reporting of key metrics
  • Maintain market and competitive knowledge
  • Use databases to prepare market opportunity analysis to assist sales effort
  • Support the leaders with Weekly and Monthly Reporting and Forecasting, for all sales activities and initiatives.

Job Requirements:

  • 5+ years of relevant experience with a proven track record in pre-sales, preferably experience in Business Research/Operations solutions.
  • Demonstrable track record of sales success; preferably with the global Financial institutions (Asset Management Firms, Investment Banks, PE firms)
  • Ability to develop dialogue with prospective clients and build strong relationships
  • Flexible approach which recognizes the nuances and complexities of the Investment Management Industry
  • Demonstrated excellence communication skills
  • Proven ability to prioritize and multi-task within a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with Sales Force and/or CRM software, preferred
  • Able to present effectively one-on-one or to large groups
  • Strong overall sales acumen and consultative sales skills
  • Knowledge of the full life cycle of the sales process from prospecting to close
  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree. Finance, Commerce or Economics degree preferred
  • Proficiency in English Language
