Job Description

As an Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Head, your role will involve ensuring workplace safety, occupational health & hygiene, and environmental protection. You will be responsible for creating and enforcing EHS policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Additionally, you will lead sustainability drives, monitor statutory reports submission, conduct impact assessments to identify and mitigate EHS risks, and implement measures to prevent occupational health hazards. Your responsibilities will include: - Environment protection & managing waste disposal activities - Operating and troubleshooting zero liquid discharge wastewater treatment plant & scrubbers - Leading hazardous & non-hazardous waste disposal activities - Liaising with disposal & recycling vendors - Maintaining documentation and records for manifests and annual returns - Leading occupational health & hygiene programs - Monitoring employee health through regular checks and surveillance programs - Conducting industrial hygiene monitoring and data analysis - Implementing measures to control occupational health hazards - Providing training and education to employees about workplace risks - Ensuring adherence to EHS guidelines and procedures - Conducting operational audits and safety awareness programs - Identifying process safety hazards and implementing risk mitigation strategies - Implementing emergency response plans - Investigating accidents and incidents - Following safety practices and documentation related to OSHA & ISO guidelines - Monitoring and analyzing water distribution systems - Participating in emission reduction and meeting ESG parameter targets - Ensuring compliance with legislations and regulations - Leading public hearings and consultations on EHS matters - Reporting incidents and accidents to stakeholders - Analyzing and reporting EHS performance - Developing and implementing EHS policies and practices - Enforcing strategies and action plans for sustainable development - Coordinating pollution control, waste management, and conservation efforts - Managing corporate environment responsibility initiatives To qualify for this role, you should be a qualified professional with at least 15 to 20 years of experience in occupational health, safety, and environment protection. You should have a strong understanding of environment protection operations and factory act requirements, environmental laws, and regulatory compliances. Additionally, excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills are essential for this position.,
