As an Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Head, you will be responsible for ensuring workplace safety, occupational health & hygiene, and environmental protection. Your role will involve creating and enforcing EHS policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Leading sustainability drives, ensuring compliances, monitoring regular statutory reports submission, conducting impact assessments to identify and mitigate EHS risks, implementing measures to prevent health hazards, and leading the EHS digitization journey will be critical aspects of your job. You will report to the Site Operation Head and your responsibilities will include managing waste disposal activities, overseeing the operation of wastewater treatment plants and scrubbers, leading hazardous and non-hazardous waste disposal activities, liaising with disposal and recycling vendors, and maintaining documentation records. Additionally, you will lead the occupational health center, monitor employee health through regular checks and surveillance programs, conduct industrial hygiene monitoring, and develop measures to control health hazards. Ensuring adherence to EHS guidelines, conducting audits, spreading safety awareness through training programs, implementing emergency response plans, investigating accidents, and following safety practices in line with OSHA and ISO guidelines will be part of your role. You will also be responsible for monitoring and analyzing water distribution systems, leading emission reduction activities, meeting ESG parameter targets, ensuring compliance with legislations, facing regulatory visits, leading public hearings, and carrying out impact assessments. In terms of reporting and analysis, you will be required to report incidents and accidents, analyze EHS performance, track sustainability reporting data, and submit reports to relevant stakeholders. You will also play a key role in developing and implementing EHS policies, enforcing strategies for sustainable development, coordinating pollution control efforts, and promoting corporate environment responsibility initiatives. The ideal candidate for this role should be a qualified professional with a minimum of 15 to 20 years of experience in occupational health, safety, and environment protection. Strong understanding of environment protection unit operations, effluent treatment plants, factory act requirements, environmental laws, and regulatory body compliances procedures is essential. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills are also required to excel in this position.,
