Associate – Fashion Design

Location: Surat (Hybrid – Work from Home & On-site Seller Engagements)

Experience: 2–3 years

We are seeking a Associate – Fashion Design to support our private label brands on

Flipkart by collaborating closely with marketplace sellers based out of Surat. This is a dynamic

role where you will combine strong product understanding with hands-on design expertise to

ensure high-quality, cost-effective assortments across categories. You will act as the on-ground

representative of the design team, bridging creative direction with execution, and working

closely with the central design team in Bengaluru.

Key Responsibilities

● Act as the design team’s on-site representative with marketplace sellers, ensuring

products align with brand design direction and cost targets.

● Support seasonal design direction by analyzing trends, colors, prints, fabrics, and

materials relevant to menswear, kidswear, and ethnic wear.

● Evaluate design-to-cost feasibility and recommend suitable fabrications and trims

for various categories.

● Review product samples at seller sites, ensuring design accuracy, quality, and timely

execution.

● Provide design feedback and take quick decisions on product aesthetics, fit, and finish

to close approvals on time.

● Collaborate with the central team in Bengaluru on graphics, print directions, and

trend decks for sellers.

● Maintain proactive communication with sellers to track timelines, resolve issues,

and fast-track execution.

● Ensure deliverables meet business requirements with attention to detail,

punctuality, and ownership.

What We’re Looking For

● Bachelor’s degree in Fashion/Apparel Design from a Tier 1 or Tier 2 institute.

● 2–3 years of professional experience in fashion design/product development.

● Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop) with a strong eye for

graphics and prints.

● Solid understanding of materials, fits, fabrics, and trims across menswear,

kidswear, and ethnic wear.

● Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to confidently engage with

sellers and negotiate design decisions.

● Highly proactive, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects in a

fast-paced environment.

● Creative flair with a balance of design sensibility and commercial mindset.
