Associate Consultant

Purpose/Objective

The Mine Planning Executive – Underground supports the Mine Planning In-charge in developing and implementing operational plans for both coal and metal mining projects. This role focuses on assisting in the preparation of technical and financial assessments, operational plans, and regulatory reports. The Executive collaborates with various departments to optimize resource scheduling, support digital transformation, and ensure compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities of Role

Technical and Financial Analysis Assist in the analysis of bid documents, providing necessary inputs to the Business Development team for project bidding. Collaborate with different departments to plan bidding strategies for both coal and metal mining blocks. Support in estimating costs (Capex and Opex) and developing financial models for mining projects. Operational Planning Help prepare short and mid-term operational plans for existing and new underground coal and metal mines. Assist in creating annual and quarterly operational plans, ensuring alignment with business goals and resource availability. Contribute to optimizing ore and waste scheduling plans to enhance profitability. Coordinate with site teams to gather data and feedback for continuous improvement initiatives. Regulatory Reporting and Compliance Aid in the preparation of statutory reports, including Mining Plans, Mining Schemes, and Techno-Economic Feasibility Reports required by financial institutions and regulatory bodies. Ensure accurate and timely submission of all regulatory reports. Maintain updated records of all regulatory documents and correspondence. Technology Utilization Use mining software such as Minex, Surpac, Autocad, Minesched, Datamine, Vulcan, and Deswik to support planning and modeling activities. Conduct basic training sessions for site personnel on the use of mining software and tools. Stay updated with new technologies and tools to enhance operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Data Management and Reporting Assist in the management of geological and mining data, ensuring data accuracy and integrity. Generate regular reports on mining activities, project progress, and resource utilization. Support the development and maintenance of data management systems for mining operations.
