Situated in Central Alberta, you'll find the Pheasantback Golf Course. Pheasantback is a semi-private 18 hole facility, located just north of Stettler, (90 km east of Red Deer) in the heartland of Alberta. Pheasantback is a privately owned business that open in 1995. With new ownership taking over in 2014, countless resources have been put into the facility to elevate Pheasantback into a must play.
Some of the new additions include: renovated aqua driving range, complete bunker renovations, 100 new trees planted annually, new irrigation system, new 2023, 2024 & 2025 electric ClubCar cart fleet, new on-course bathrooms and rain shelters along with many other renovations scheduled such as a new clubhouse and paved cart paths in 2027!Location Pheasantback Golf Course Posted 2025-10-27 Deadline 2025-12-31 Job Summary Pheasantback is seeking the services of a driven individual who would like to join the Pheasantback team as our Assistant/ Associate Golf Professional with the potential of promotion to Head Golf Professional. The chosen candidate will play a key role in the daily operations of the golf facility, including, but not limited to, golf shop management, tournament coordination, member/guest services and instruction. This position is ideal for an Apprentice/ Associate seeking to grow with a strong emphasis on club management, member service, attention to detail, and long-term career development. Responsibilities
- Oversee and assist with daily golf operations, including tee time management, pace of play monitoring, and merchandise sales.
- Teaching lessons/clinics throughout the season.
- Oversee all course rules and stipulations.
- Assist with operating weekly Men’s Night, Ladies and Junior Leagues.
- Meet and greets all members & guests in a friendly and professional manner.
- Responsible for booking tee times for guests, by phone and review all online bookings.
- Management of the cart fleet and always ensuring the location of carts through our GPS Visage system.
- Reconcile all sales transactions with accuracy and care.
- Keep management informed of any incidents or concerns as related to our members & guests.
- Work closely with tournament recruitment, organization, preparation and execution.
- Assist in Advertising & Sponsorship sales and promotion.
 
Qualifications
- PGA of Canada Member or looking to join.
- Positive attitude with the ability to work as part of our team.
- Enthusiastic about golf instruction to golfers of all abilities.
- Candidate must be highly motivated, enthusiastic and excel in public relations and organizational skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and stay calm during hectic situations.
- Ability to utilize and fully prepare during downtimes.
- Proficient computer skills including knowledge of Excel, Word as well as point of sale and booking software (Tee-On).
 
Compensation $4,000 -$5,000 monthly (8-10 months depending on applicant) Benefits/Perks
