Position: Assistant Works Manager

Reporting to: Works Manager

An Assistant Works Manager in the auto industry supports overall workshop/service center operations, focusing on staff supervision, customer satisfaction, quality control, and efficiency by managing daily tasks, scheduling, technical guidance, inventory, and enforcing procedures to meet targets, ensuring smooth flow from customer intake to vehicle delivery, leveraging strong leadership and technical skills.

Key Responsibilities

· Operations Management: Assist the Works/Service Manager in daily activities, ensuring efficient workflow, optimal technician utilization, and timely completion of repairs.

· Team Leadership: Train, mentor, motivate, and supervise service staff (technicians, advisors) to meet performance goals and provide excellent service.

· Customer Satisfaction: Act as a liaison between customers and technicians, addressing concerns, resolving issues, and ensuring high satisfaction levels.

· Quality & Compliance: Monitor repair quality, ensure adherence to warranty policies, company procedures, and safety standards.

· Performance Monitoring: Track KPIs, sales, and productivity, reporting metrics to management and implementing improvement plans.

· Resource Management: Manage parts inventory, equipment, and resource allocation to prevent delays.

Essential Skills & Qualifications

· Education: Diploma or B.E./B.Tech in Automobile Engineering.

· Experience: 2+ years in automotive service/workshop management.

· Technical: Strong knowledge of vehicle systems, diagnostics, and repair procedures (EV knowledge beneficial).

· Leadership: Excellent team building, communication, problem-solving, and motivational skills.

· Administrative: Proficiency with Dealer Management Systems (DMS) and strong organizational skills.

Soft Skills: Ability to work in fast-paced environments, strong work ethic, and customer-focused

Qualification and Experience: Any graduate (preferable diploma or be in mechanical or automobile)

Industry: Commercial Vehicle / Passenger Vehicle industry

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹13,438.69 - ₹30,901.11 per month
