Technician

A Commercial Vehicle Technician diagnoses, repairs, and maintains trucks, buses, and other heavy vehicles, performing everything from routine oil changes to major engine/transmission work, using diagnostic tools, ensuring safety/compliance, and keeping detailed repair records to maximize fleet uptime and customer satisfaction. Key tasks include fault diagnosis, preventative maintenance, component replacement (brakes, electrical, engine), road testing, and maintaining a safe, organized workshop. Key Responsibilities

• Diagnosis & Repair: Use computerized tools to identify faults, then repair or replace defective parts in engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical systems, etc..
• Preventative Maintenance: Perform scheduled services like oil changes, fluid checks, filter replacements, and tire rotations.
• Inspections: Conduct safety inspections and prepare vehicles for mandatory MOT/roadworthiness checks.
• Customer Service: Communicate repair needs, provide cost/time estimates, and explain work to clients.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all services, repairs, and part usage.
• Safety & Housekeeping: Adhere to safety protocols and keep the work area clean and organized.

Essential Skills & Knowledge

• Strong technical knowledge of vehicle systems (engine, electrical, hydraulic).
• Proficiency with diagnostic software and tools.
• Troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to interpret service manuals and technical specifications.
• Good communication skills for customer interaction.

Work Environment

• Fast-paced workshop.
• Involves working on heavy-duty trucks, buses, and sometimes heavy machinery.
• Requires adherence to strict health & safety standards.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹8,086.00 - ₹21,980.14 per month
