Assistant Manager

For International Telecom Sales is responsible for developing new business and managing client relationships in foreign markets. The role typically requires a strategic, results-driven professional who understands global telecommunication products and services and can work with diverse, international clients.

Roles and responsibilities Business development and sales

  • Identify, prospect, and secure new business from international clients in the enterprise and mid-market segments.
  • Promote and sell a portfolio of telecom products and services, including mobile services, voice solutions (SIP, VoIP), data connectivity (MPLS, SD-WAN, ILL), cloud telephony, and other managed services.
  • Develop and present customized solutions and proposals that address the specific business needs of international clients.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations to C-level executives and other decision-makers.
  • Negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions to close sales deals and meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.

Account management and market strategy

  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with both new and existing international clients to ensure high customer satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts, addressing client queries, managing expectations, and resolving escalations effectively.
  • Keep up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies, competitor activities, and regulations in the global telecom market.
  • Conduct market research to identify potential growth opportunities and tailor sales strategies to different international markets and cultural nuances.

Collaboration and administration

  • Collaborate closely with internal teams, including product development, marketing, legal, and technical support, to ensure smooth service delivery and a cohesive client experience.
  • Utilize CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) to manage the sales pipeline, track all sales activities, update customer information, and generate sales reports and forecasts.
  • Provide regular feedback to management on market trends, competitor insights, and customer needs to help inform overall business strategy.
  • Participate in international trade shows, conferences, and networking events to represent the company and generate leads.

Skills and qualificationsExperience and education

  • Education:

    Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Experience:

    3+ years of proven sales experience, with a strong track record of success in international B2B telecom or IT sales.

Required skills

  • Domain Expertise:

    Strong foundational and technical knowledge of various telecom products and services (e.g., SD-WAN, VoIP, Cloud Telephony).
  • Communication:

    Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Sales Acumen:

    Strong prospecting, lead generation, and closing skills.
  • Cultural Sensitivity:

    High degree of cultural awareness and the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
  • Tech-Savvy:

    Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales tools.
  • Other:

    Highly motivated, target-driven, organized, and capable of working independently as well as part of a team. Fluency in additional languages is a plus.
