Role Overview:

The Assistant Manager HR - Recruitment will be responsible for managing the complete recruitment lifecycle for Popo Ventures, ensuring timely hiring of quality talent across functions. This role owns recruitment delivery from manpower requisition to candidate joining, while maintaining strong stakeholder coordination and a positive candidate experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Recruitment & Hiring

  • Manage end-to-end recruitment for corporate, operations, and field roles as assigned.
  • Understand manpower requirements through discussions with business and hiring managers.
  • Source candidates using multiple channels including job portals, social media, referrals, vendors, and campus hiring.
  • Screen resumes, conduct preliminary interviews, and coordinate interview schedules.
  • Drive offer rollouts, negotiate compensation within approved frameworks, and close positions within defined timelines.

Joining & Pre-Onboarding

  • Ensure complete documentation collection and background verification coordination.
  • Track offer acceptances and ensure smooth candidate follow-ups until date of joining.
  • Coordinate with HR Operations and Hiring Managers to ensure seamless onboarding readiness.
  • Maintain joining trackers and ensure zero drop-offs wherever possible.

Stakeholder Management

  • Act as a recruitment SPOC for assigned departments.
  • Provide regular hiring status updates and reports to hiring managers and leadership.
  • Build strong relationships with consultants, vendors, and external recruitment partners.

Data, MIS & Compliance

  • Maintain recruitment dashboards, trackers, and hiring metrics (TAT, closure ratio, source effectiveness).
  • Ensure adherence to internal hiring processes, approval matrices, and HR policies.
  • Support audits and internal reviews related to recruitment documentation.

Key Requirements:

36 years of hands-on recruitment experience, preferably in startups, retail, hospitality, QSR, or high-growth environments.

Proven experience handling bulk and lateral hiring simultaneously.

Blue collar hiring experience preferred

Strong understanding of recruitment processes and hiring best practices.

Excellent communication, coordination, and negotiation skills.

Ability to work in fast-paced, dynamic environments with tight timelines.

High ownership mindset with strong follow-through.

Proficient in MS Excel, recruitment trackers, and ATS platforms.
