Job Description

As a Research Consultant at MetLife, you will collaborate closely with Marketing teams to provide comprehensive market and business insights that support decision-making processes. With 5-7 years of related experience, you will be a strong problem solver capable of working independently and in a team setting. Your role will require analytical thinking, organization, process orientation, self-motivation, a results-driven mindset, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and an unwavering attention to detail. A professional background in insurance, banking, management consulting, or industry research providers is preferred. - **Key Responsibilities:** - Work with business owners to identify and understand the scope of Secondary or Competitive Research required - Provide comprehensive end-to-end market and business research and analysis - Interpret data and information to develop recommendations, showcasing significant analytic skills - Maintain a repository of industry best practices and ensure data currency - Research and recommend best practices, supported by benchmarking data/analysis - Analyze global competitors on a quarterly basis, conducting in-depth research and developing insights on competitors" business models annually - Develop country profiles, perform competitive intelligence research, summaries on competitors, and monitor real-time competitive developments - **Qualifications Required:** - Broad application of principles, theories, and concepts in market/business research analysis, with working knowledge of insurance and financial services fields - Preference for experience in the Insurance domain with an Insurance company, research house, or consulting companies - Ability to draw conclusions from compiled data points and present them in an easy-to-grasp manner - Energetic attitude toward learning and developing knowledge in the subject area - Flexible, diligent, motivated, reliable, and proactive personality with superior problem-solving skills - Strong critical thinking and analytical skills - Good communication and presentation skills, along with an influential and collaborative nature - Strong PC Application Skills (MS Office, including PowerPoint and Excel), with Power BI as an added advantage - Team-oriented mindset MetLife, recognized on Fortune magazine's list of the "World's Most Admired Companies" and Fortune Worlds 25 Best Workplaces, is a leading financial services company providing insurance, annuities, employee benefits, and asset management globally.
