Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Assistant Store Manager to support the overall inventory and store operations in a crane manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate must possess solid knowledge of Tally ERP (preferably Tally Prime), inventory management practices, and a good understanding of engineering materials used in heavy machinery manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities:Inventory & Material Management:

  • Assist in managing day-to-day store operations including receiving, storing, and issuing of materials.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure timely updates in Tally.
  • Conduct regular physical stock verification and reconcile with system data.
  • Monitor stock levels and generate material requisitions as required.
  • Ensure proper storage and identification of components, tools, consumables, and raw materials.

Tally ERP Operations:

  • Enter goods receipt notes (GRNs), material issue slips, purchase returns, and stock transfers in Tally.
  • Generate and maintain item-wise stock reports, bin cards, and consumption reports.
  • Coordinate with accounts and purchase teams to reconcile inventory records and vendor bills in Tally.

Documentation & Reporting:

  • Maintain proper documentation for inward and outward materials (GRN, DCs, Gate Passes).
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports on material movement, consumption, and stock status.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing necessary reports and stock records.

Compliance & Process Control:

  • Ensure proper FIFO/FEFO methods are followed for issuing materials.
  • Adhere to safety and housekeeping standards in the store area.
  • Assist in the implementation of ERP upgrades or inventory process improvements.

Team Coordination:

  • Supervise store assistants and workers to ensure smooth store functions.
  • Coordinate with Production, Purchase, QA/QC, and Maintenance departments for timely material availability.

Requirements:

  • Education: Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in Commerce, Supply Chain, or Engineering.
  • Experience: 5+ years in a similar role, preferably in a crane or heavy engineering industry.
  • Software Skills: Proficiency in Tally ERP 9 / Tally Prime, MS Excel, and basic ERP knowledge.
  • Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with mechanical components, fabrication materials, electrical spares, etc.
  • Soft Skills: Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and team coordination ability.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
